The poet's name is A.Molchanov (Pelageya is singing) and it can roughly be translated to this:

" Not for you the Spring will come,

Not for you Don will spill.

Not for you the gal's heart,

filled with joy, will beat.

Not for you the orchards and

the valleys are in full bloom,

where the nightingale meets the spring.

It will sing not for you..."
